Hoppers (2026) 97% 3.5/4 EDIT “Like Pixar's most memorable films, Hoppers combines silliness and sophistication in a way that feels like magic.” – Deep Focus Review Mar 2, 2026 Full Review Dolly (2025) 77% 1.5/4 EDIT “Sure, Dolly is imposing. And as Rob Zombie’s output has demonstrated time after time, replicating Hooper’s aesthetic takes skill. But none of this was enough to sustain my interest, not even for less than 90 minutes.” – Deep Focus Review Mar 2, 2026 Full Review Scream 7 (2026) 31% 1.5/4 EDIT “With the latest sequel, it’s apparent that this franchise has stopped its meta commentary on the horror genre and now exists solely to keep the IP alive, forgoing inspired self-awareness for sheer laziness, motivated only by commercial ambitions” – Deep Focus Review Feb 28, 2026 Full Review Paul McCartney: Man on the Run (2025) 100% 3.5/4 EDIT “It’s a moving, exceptionally assembled film that views McCartney as an individual talent, not just one-fourth of something greater, and begs reconsideration of this underrated period in his music. ” – Deep Focus Review Feb 26, 2026 Full Review In the Blink of an Eye (2026) 20% 2.5/4 EDIT “It’s short at 94 minutes but feels like three hours. What’s curious is that, had the film actually run three hours and fleshed out these stories, it might’ve felt shorter, or at least more complete. ” – Deep Focus Review Feb 26, 2026 Full Review Magnolia (1999) 82% 4/4 EDIT “Its restless camera, onrushing music, heartbreaking monologues, and incomparable ensemble of marvelous performances generate a momentum that feels less plotted than propelled by raw emotion.” – Deep Focus Review Feb 24, 2026 Full Review Crazy Old Lady (2025) 77% 3/4 EDIT “While touching on the lasting effects of Argentina’s and Spain’s traumatic pasts on subsequent generations, Mauregui crafts a disturbing thriller showcasing Maura’s exceptional talent.” – Deep Focus Review Feb 24, 2026 Full Review Ghost Elephants (2025) 100% 3.5/4 EDIT “Beneath the surface of Ghost Elephants is the realization that the search is more fulfilling than the destination, and a discovery is also the death of a dream. ” – Deep Focus Review Feb 23, 2026 Full Review How to Make a Killing (2026) 46% 3.5/4 EDIT “A timely morality tale, wrapped in a darkly funny and entertaining caper.” – Deep Focus Review Feb 18, 2026 Full Review This Is Not a Test (2025) 44% 2.5/4 EDIT “A serviceable horror movie that never quite rises above the ordinary.” – Deep Focus Review Feb 18, 2026 Full Review EPiC: Elvis Presley in Concert (2025) 96% 3/4 EDIT “Luhrmann’s doc comes from a place of deep admiration and fandom, which means he ignores many of the harder truths about his subject while making (another) statement about the performer’s complexity. Nevertheless, he presents quite a spectacle” – Deep Focus Review Feb 17, 2026 Full Review Wuthering Heights (2026) 58% 2/4 EDIT “It’s an admirable production from a purely aesthetic point of view, but it conjures little genuine feeling.” – Deep Focus Review Feb 17, 2026 Full Review Nirvanna the Band the Show the Movie (2025) 98% 4/4 EDIT “It’s like watching a genius magic trick [...], except the magician bumbles around on stage and seemingly has no control over the situation, only to miraculously reveal that his haphazard energy and absurd behavior were all part of the illusion. ” – Deep Focus Review Feb 12, 2026 Full Review Pillion (2025) 99% 3.5/4 EDIT “Neither Lighton nor his movie turns this lifestyle into a voyeuristic sideshow; instead, Pillion relies on finely attuned performances and nuanced emotional stakes to enrich a thoughtful, sensitive drama about self-discovery. ” – Deep Focus Review Feb 11, 2026 Full Review Bad Day at Black Rock (1955) 97% 4/4 EDIT “[It] neither makes excuses for America’s troubling history nor attempts to diminish what occurred at home during the war. Rather, it acknowledges and deplores America’s racism, and it yearns for the country to grow and learn from its troubling past. ” – Deep Focus Review Feb 11, 2026 Full Review The Strangers: Chapter 3 (2026) 18% 0.5/4 EDIT “By the end, whatever squishy goodwill that was left for director Renny Harlin’s three features dries up, leaving only the depressing realization that we’ve wasted four-and-a-half hours of our lives and can’t get that time back. ” – Deep Focus Review Feb 6, 2026 Full Review Good Luck, Have Fun, Don't Die (2025) 83% 3.5/4 EDIT “It boasts lofty ambitions for a zany, mind-bending comedy, and it’s all the more noble and satisfying for the inspired result. ” – Deep Focus Review Feb 4, 2026 Full Review Whistle (2025) 62% 2.5/4 EDIT “For those who like a good death scene, this movie has several of them, making it worthwhile for those moments but not altogether satisfying as a whole. Whistle isn’t a great horror movie, but there’s enough here to admire for those curious.  ” – Deep Focus Review Feb 4, 2026 Full Review Dracula (2025) 53% 1/4 EDIT “Besson makes one baffling choice after another in his blatantly derivative yet quirky English-language production, which might as well be called Luc Besson’s Francis Ford Coppola’s Bram Stoker’s Dracula.” – Deep Focus Review Feb 3, 2026 Full Review Shelter (2026) 64% 2/4 EDIT “Shelter isn’t aggressively bad. But it’s not very good, either. The whole thing’s temperature lingers well below the boiling point, never quite bubbling or even getting heated enough to generate interest. ” – Deep Focus Review Jan 28, 2026 Full Review Send Help (2026) 93% 4/4 EDIT “Anchored by committed performances from Rachel McAdams and Dylan O’Brien, along with a blend of social commentary and spookhouse jolts courtesy of Raimi, Send Help is the most fun moviegoing experience I’ve had in recent memory. ” – Deep Focus Review Jan 26, 2026 Full Review Magellan (2025) 88% 3.5/4 EDIT “It’s a formally inspired piece of work that evokes more admiration than passion, but its vision is commendably uncompromising.” – Deep Focus Review Jan 24, 2026 Full Review Mercy (2026) 25% 1/4 EDIT “It’s set on delivering a real-time murder mystery in less than 100 minutes, with only a fleeting curiosity about the moral and societal implications of the world it depicts.” – Deep Focus Review Jan 21, 2026 Full Review Return to Silent Hill (2026) 19% 0.5/4 EDIT “I found the experience difficult to sit through and nonsensical from moment to moment, with its confounding story and shoddy CGI matched only by its lack of entertainment value.” – Deep Focus Review Jan 21, 2026 Full Review The Rip (2026) 79% 2/4 EDIT “The Rip’s skilled ensemble and the promise of tense gunplay may be enough for some, but the unremarkable result leaves no lasting impression.” – Deep Focus Review Jan 16, 2026 Full Review
