Dallas H @FozzieMcFly 4d John Spencer is in this movie! I need to watch The West Wing all over again, as it's been a while since I last watched it. Several story tropes in this "Perry Mason Mystery" movie cannot be used in new fictional stories about American politics made after 2016, since these plot points won't carry the same heavy weight as they once did. For example, a political candidate loses the campaign for state governor because a woman publicly claims to have had an affair with him. Still, the woman turns out to be a stripper being paid by the staff of the political incumbent, who is then murdered four months after winning the re-election. These days, several of our male American politicians are known philanderers, and some of them make it all the way into their 80s or 90s before retiring from office because they died from old age.
