T B Jul 9 Cringy and creepy! The bully of your worst nightmare. It’s so upsetting but makes you appreciate your otherwise boring life. Perhaps it was all the PR and hype trying [unsuccessfully] to make him the next Troy Donahue, IDK; but he sure nails the teenager rebel / psychopath role better than any actor this side of Anthony Perkins. The fact that the film is all one continual scene played in real time makes it memorable, and Arch Hall Jr.s acting makes it unforgettable. A must see B movie. The story was pretty basic and the very end was a little disappointing. But minor complaints. Overall the acting was compelling, the tension never let up and there were plenty of shocks. Good movie. And a very satisfying ending. Meanwhile, like most movies, it suffers from some questionable dialog and one doubts if the victims or the murderer would reasonably be like that. Probably counterproductive to talk back to the creep with the gun. And the creep would probably tell a victim he would not kill him if he helped, rather than as soon as he helps he's gonna be dead. And I think it takes place somewhere outback near rural Victorville. And the car radio is still picking up the Dodger game (1963) with Ron Fairly hitting a home run. But the announcer is not Vin Scully. And one final thing, watch out for rattlesnikes.
