Although she filmed this hour in a church, she only fully realizes the potential of her setting in her closing routine. But she continues to be a winning voice for her generation, no matter what religious background you may be coming to her from. Go to Full Review

I wouldn’t quite call this hour the sermon it’s jokingly presented as, but there are lessons to be learned. Go to Full Review

William C. @wdcraven78 1d Extremely disappointing. She has gone the way of too many comedians, with her non-hetero love life and distain of religion dominating her act. Sad. See more Tim P @VanWilder89 1d Absolutely an instant classic. Not for religious folks, but 100% if you grew up religious and aren't any longer, fantastic. Honest, clever, fabulous. Highly recommend. See more Qiana M @QiElMaS90 1d We love Taylor!!!!! Always funny and I'm loving the new doooo See more e M @8thyst 3d ✅️NEVER-DONE-BEFORE ✅️clever ✅️extremely funny ✅️awesome climactic ending ✅️will definitely rewatch over and over again ✅️ taylor tomlinson's best one to date ✅️💯👍👍👍 Taylor Tomlinson’s latest special, Prodigal Daughter, feels a bit like watching a friend finally win an argument they’ve been rehearsing in their head for fifteen years. You can see Taylor’s fingerprints all over the production--she directed it herself. The choice to perform in a church was a bold one, but it pays off. Taylor has a way of talking that feels like she’s trying to outrun her own thoughts, it works perfectly here. By the time she hits the "alternate reality" ending, you realize you haven't just watched a stand-up set; you’ve watched a well-crafted piece of storytelling. She’s become the voice for anyone who grew up too fast, followed the rules, and eventually realized those rules didn't actually lead to happiness. It’s funny, dark, a little bit mean in the best way possible, and it’s deeply human. See more Cade S. @Bryan_Johnson_420 3d Funny, personal, intelligent, fantastic See more Connor M. @ConnorM84 4d Wow, this was good and funny. The material is so intensely personal but still delivers the rapid fire laughs she always delivers. Other comedians have tackled these topics but Tomlinson delivers it without ever punching down on christianity, even tho her journey took her away from it. But the first rule of comedy special to me is: Is it funny? And it is very funny. It's a great evolution of a great comedian. Highly recommend. See more Read all reviews
