Writer-director Thane Economou takes an aggressively cheeky approach to the saga of Kapoor’s involvement, in the process undercutting what he clearly intends to be an empathetic portrait of both the doctor and his patient. Go to Full Review

The story’s squalor isn’t much ameliorated by the movie’s not-unhappy ending Go to Full Review

'Trust Me, I’m a Doctor' is too generic a production, and too misguided in its approach, to have any serious awards prospects but hopefully [Linda] Hamilton, at least, will turn some heads and top new shortlists for other, better projects. Go to Full Review

Not an Anna Nicole Smith movie, but one that features her and that allows the focus to stay on those who surrounded her, some of whom took advantage, and others who just orbited her larger-than-life personality. Go to Full Review

It's not without merit, nor is it an uninteresting experience, but it never quite gets beneath the headlines in the meaningful way its subject matter deserves. Go to Full Review

This take on Anna Nicole Smith's life and death, told from the point of view of a peripheral person in her life, doesn't sit quite right. Go to Full Review

jm Oct 21, 2026 Couldn’t even sit through the first 20 min See more Chris G Oct 19, 2026 I remember the true story. Seeing it in the movies was great. See more Ben R @RT42881257 18 hrs ago I personally found it entertaining and charming. It was funnier than I expected and had an interesting perspective on a real event that I remember from the news stories at the time. See more Marian D @marian31265 Oct 21, 2026 I was hesitant to watch this due to the low RT score, but I found it surprisingly interesting. I knew vaguely of the Anna Nicole story but didn't follow news following her death or the trial at all. The leads were excellent - Kal Penn very sympathetic and Abbie Cornish very good as Anna Nicole Smith. It was also good to see Linda Hamilton in a different role. I would recommend this. See more jesse v Oct 20, 2026 this film flips from a cheery gay pride celebration in the first 20 min to a serious drama in the last 20 min, and the comedy dwindling throughout the movie. it's an odd twist to the Anna Nicole story beat, but it doesn't become serious enough for us to care about anna nicole. there is also the indian family trope undertone that tries to break the status quo of the main character being gay. unfortunately. a lot of shots of characters looking at the camera. also the humongous exposition thanks to TMZ was unnecessary in terms of pacing to the whole film. it was never explained how exactly Sandi got twins nor we see them ever again. also how come anna's kid got depressed only because his gf made love with anna (for some bizarre reason)? and yet we see people from the bahamas but never shown what happened there? the Frederic (yes that famous person i guess) side story was unnecessary as well. also phonetically a haitian person wouldn't have confused name spellings since they use roman letters. also why did Sandi had the sudden realization of remembering that the resignation letter in the bag?? and somehow how was sandi able to tell the story of what happened at the bahamas?? this movie had like 2/3 of characters talking and 1/3 of character action. I'd wish there wasn't any reference to US politics in this story. See more Carl J @CJennings1122 Oct 19, 2026 Amazing film. Tackles a pop culture event from a viewpoint many are unfamiliar with. A perfect mix of drama and humanity with a dash of comedy. The audience is engaged from opening curtains to final credits. A must see See more Read all reviews
