If I knew the ending I would have walked out halfway through. I kept hoping there would be a great plot twist which would make the mind-numbing banality worth while. There wasn't. A classic movie that critics and pompous so called 'film buffs' like, whereas the the general public like, whereas the mainstream viewers think it's utter tripe. See more dave d @RT34924333 05/03/2018 At a time where the gross Jeffrey Epstein is paying off families of girls he allegedly molested, I decided to watch 'Angels Where White' with no idea the premise was pretty much the same as the Epstein case. Here's what we know: it doesn't matter where you live the rich seem to have an easier time getting out of crimes. This is a powerful eye opening movie that will make parents cringe and most open their eyes to the corruption hiding in plain sight. Nobody is willing to talk truth to power and the result is what happens in this movie. If you don't stand for anything you fall for everything. Despite it being a hard watch, it's never uninteresting. The fact that nobody of significance believes the disadvantaged is enough to get our blood boiling, but the layers this film produces in an upfront and in your face style with a little bit of discretion is just what we need to rattle our collective cage. Credit to writer and director Vivian Qu for making an important film! And kudos to many fine young actresses who tell the story often without speaking. Final Score: 8.3/10 See more 12/02/2017 It's a powerful story, with great performances, and I enjoyed a lot of the camerawork and visual storytelling as well. It's also truly refreshing to see a Chinese film that's so feminist.
