First, the fact they romanticize this man "James" when the only thing going for him is his damn looks. I didn't like him the second I saw him, I knew he was gonna be one of those clique bad boy types. Not only does he treat June like absolute dog shit, he has to be the worst male lead character written in all of existence. Second, There was actually no fucking plot. The script didn't come together at all and felt so rush in a way. Also the scene where she and will are in the van making out and she looking into James's eyes as she does it is actually disgusting. Then James texting her to help her "Finish the job" was even more insane. I usual like these trashy wattpad/booktok type of movies but this one was the worse movie I've seen in a while next to Tell me softly. I DON'T RECOMMEND!!! The whole premise of the movie is boy is emotionally abusive to girl. Girl falls for abusive boy. Do yourself a favor and never watch. At one point he even physically drags her into the boy's locker room against her will. I had to stop watching this mess of a movie. What were they thinking? However, like many other slow-burn films in this era, you stay for the enjoyment of it all. Pretty steady start, and okay plot twist. however waiting 90 minutes for the worst ending of all time is not my cup of tea. If you're going to make a slow burn, at least include a resolutive kiss at the end. Sorry to spoil it for all those interested in watching, but you will find yourself feeling rather empty by the end of this film, and if not that, confused by all the plot holes throughout the movie. I am really, really not a fan of slow burns that don't end with the romance everyone was waiting for. I strongly recommend watching Culpa Mia or The Kissing Booth, since this movie is basically a knock-off of them both. At least with those movies, you'll get the ending that's deserved, and makes you actually happy with the movie you just watched. Strongly suggest scrolling past this one - it'll save you.
