John Conte worked on a variety of projects during his entertainment career. Conte's early acting career consisted of roles in various films, such as "Thousands Cheer" (1944) with Gene Kelly, "Lost in a Harem" (1944) with Bud Abbott and the Frank Sinatra dramatic adaptation "The Man With the Golden Arm" (1956). He also appeared in "Trauma" (1962) and the dramatic adaptation "The Carpetbaggers" (1964) with George Peppard. In the eighties and the nineties, Conte devoted his time to various credits, such as "Communion, A True Story" (1989), "Miracle Mile" with Anthony Edwards (1989) and "Another Midnight Run" (1993-94). He also worked on "Armistead Maupin's Tales of the City" (1993-94). Conte continued to exercise his talent in the nineties, taking on a mix of projects like "Grand Avenue" (HBO, 1995-96), "Set It Off" (1996) starring Jada Pinkett Smith and "She's So Lovely" (1997). His credits also expanded to "My Favorite Martian" (1999) starring Christopher Lloyd. Conte last worked on the Jason Biggs box office smash comedy sequel "American Wedding" (2003). Conte was married to Marilyn Maxwell. Conte passed away in September 2006 at the age of 91.
