It’s a well-crafted, quietly compelling movie that could have been better: Good as he is, Poulter’s character lacks much definition, which is something you could say for the arguably over-restrained screenplay as a whole.

Union County, a great movie of 2026. The movie is about an addict and his journey towards recovery. It explores the sad reality of an addict’s life and the psychological trauma he experiences. The greatest thing about this movie was how grounded and realistic it felt. The ending was great too. Will Poulter did an exceptional job. The negative point was the casting, but using real-life addicts in the film makes that choice understandable. Overall, a great watch.
