Matthew McConaughey has never been this good. He's dangerous, he's a father, he's singing, he's thieving, he's all kinds of wonderful. Movie blends a lot of different genres in a way that's unexpected, in a good way.

the opening scene of the movie was perfect in pacing and editing. but once the girl gets brought on screen talking, there were too many visual cuts and the visual storytelling flew by too quickly. not one shot stays for longer than 10 seconds. Yet somehow, when the investigators and/or white cowboy hat guy are on screen, there are no editing qualms. There is an interesting story, but needs a visual re-edit.

Synopsis
