Buddy F @Wildjourne 1d It is not a fresh and gripping take on the traditional western, let's get that out of the way right now. What it is, is the Devil and Daniel Webster with guns. It tries to have a Christian message but actually fails as a redemption story. The gunfighting scenes were actually prett good. Terry Kiser's Stranger (Devil) stands out as the one truly excellent performance in this movie. Kevin Sorbo has top billing but thankfully he is not actually in the movie enough to truly screw it up. All that being said, it wasn't as horrible as I would have expected. See more Pete W @Pete-W 6d A STEALTH CHRISTIAN MOVIE. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED. This movie is not a Western. It was like a lesson in Sunday School. If that's your thing, fine. But if not... avoid this like the plague. Kevin Sorbo is an outspoken Christian, a faith he has held since childhood and that has significantly influenced his career. He has stated that his conservative and Christian beliefs led to him being "blacklisted" or "canceled" by Hollywood, prompting him to focus on producing and starring in faith-based, family-friendly films. R.J. Hendricks is a Christian filmmaker and director. His work is recognized within the faith-based media industry, with the film showcasing Christian themes.
