I love Marc Maron, but this documentary was a little flat, and too wedded to his grief in a way most fans know he has moved past. Felt dated. e.g. I like that he threw a 60th birthday party for himself... and seemed joyful then, but this doc seemed wedded to a downbeat ending.

Are We Good? is a raw, quietly devastating portrait of sudden loss and hard-won emotional growth. It follows Marc Maron at a moment when love expanded his world, only to be ripped away without warning. The film never leans on sentimentality; it trusts silence, timing, and the rhythms of a comic known for sharp edges to reveal something profoundly human beneath them. Intimate and unflinching yet a beautiful tribute to Lynn Shelton as well.
