[His relationship with Lynn Shelton] is a very powerful dynamic in this film. Go to Full Review

At heart, it’s about a vulnerable man at a unique moment in time and how his past has prepared him — or perhaps not. And we are definitely good for experiencing this singular artist up close. Go to Full Review

Oddly, however, this movie, directed by Steven Feinartz, can’t quite break through Marc Maron’s tortoise-like carapace. Go to Full Review

Fans of Maron will get the most out of this, even if they may be left wanting a more in-depth retrospective of his life and career. He’s still going though, so that may be further down the line. Go to Full Review

Kenneth G Oct 9 I love Marc Maron, but this documentary was a little flat, and too wedded to his grief in a way most fans know he has moved past. Felt dated. e.g. I like that he threw a 60th birthday party for himself... and seemed joyful then, but this doc seemed wedded to a downbeat ending. See more Olivia Oct 4 Sad, sweet, sad it once at Tribeca and loved it for the second time :) sad that Maron didn’t show up for the Q & A. Amazing movie tho See more Danielle L @FNDanielle 2d Are We Good? is a raw, quietly devastating portrait of sudden loss and hard-won emotional growth. It follows Marc Maron at a moment when love expanded his world, only to be ripped away without warning. The film never leans on sentimentality; it trusts silence, timing, and the rhythms of a comic known for sharp edges to reveal something profoundly human beneath them. Intimate and unflinching yet a beautiful tribute to Lynn Shelton as well. See more Read all reviews
