Daniel K @RT68807165 Aug 4 BB2000 is definetly unique. Many people seem to hate it, but I don’t really understand it. After watching both the 1980 original and this recently, I have to say, this one may be better, atleast in my opinion. While the OG is a cult-classic, this can be watched with family or friends, but I suggest having someone who has seen both and understands the story. The comedy is great, and I like Elwood as a character. The soundtrack is also just amazing. The movie does start a bit heavy but becomes a jolly and fun experience after that. There is some cool action and car chases, so its no full family-movie. Definetly a unique piece of media, but we should cherish it since we have it. Worth a watch. 4.9/5. Dan,John and the original band mates were good but the rest of the cast was terrible. I didn't like the other characters or songs. No offense to goodman but if you couldn't get Jim Belushi then this should've been scrapped. The original is all we needed just like grease. See more Tyler S @tylerking24 Jan 31 Ngl, I came into this super skeptical. The original Blues Brothers is one of my favorite films, and I really wasn't sure how they were gonna do this. Honestly, this could have been much worse. Dan Akroyd still nails the role, but this just doesn't feel right without John. It was still funny, and they captured the right tone and energy of the original. Was also kinda hoping this one would have a pretty new story, but it mostly was a recycle. Not that I hated that, but I was still hoping for something else. See more Laura B @RT37706409 07/03/2025 While the Blues Child is a terrible addition to the film, he’s acted poorly and written poorly and does little to contribute to the film, and the whole witch climax is a bit stupid, the heart and soul of the blues brothers is still there, with some decent laughs, great music, and- of course -no blues brothers movie would be complete without an amazing car chase scene.
