As more star systems get swept into the Clone Wars, the valiant Jedi knights struggle to maintain order. Anakin Skywalker and his Padawan learner Ahsoka Tano embark on a mission that brings them face-to-face with Jabba the Hutt. Plotting against them is evil Count Dooku and his agent, Asajj Ventress, who would ensure that the Jedis fail. Meanwhile, Yoda and Obi-Wan Kenobi lead the clone army against the forces of the Dark Side.

I’ve been a lifelong Star Wars fan, but The Clone Wars is the series that finally made the whole galaxy click for me. It builds on the prequels and adds the emotional depth and character focus the films didn’t have time for. The 3D animation was a huge step forward when the show began, and it only gets better every season. As the visuals improve, the lighting, action, and overall look become more detailed and cinematic, and it still looks great today. The style fits the stories perfectly. The character work is excellent. Ahsoka quickly became one of my favorite Star Wars characters, right up there with game characters like Starkiller. Her journey is written with so much care that it completely changed how I see this era of the saga. Dave Filoni’s work on this show is a big reason modern Star Wars feels so rich. His attention to the characters and the world really stands out here. Even in 2025, I still find myself rewatching episodes whenever I’m in the mood. The Clone Wars isn’t just an animated side project it’s one of the best and most rewarding Star Wars stories ever made.
