No one watching Fist of the Condor should expect great acting performances. This action flick delivers exactly what its intended audience wants: impressive martial arts and other adrenaline-packed stunts. The movie's story is mildly entertaining. Go to Full Review

Everything in Fist of the Condor is slippery, itself and its opposite. The twin gimmick is less a kind of Fight Club-style projection than it is a reflection of unavoidable divisions, both in and around the text. Go to Full Review

The joy is seeing the several fight sequences that emphasize the moves on display. The level of respect shown in the build-up to these bouts is also welcome, recalling the days of Bruce Lee. Go to Full Review

There’s something compelling here, whether it’s the uniquely Chilean riff on genre formula or just its action star’s energy radiating as he broods and demolishes foes. Go to Full Review

andrea c @Andy_Caro Feb 21 Action martial art movie that brings it back to the essence. The plot is simple and very captivating. Definitely not boring. On top of the Chinese kung-fu movies, Sergio Leone’s movies, Tarantino’s Kill Bill and Jim Jarmusch Ghost Dog may be conceptually some of the references. Recommended! See more Todor Y @Phantom961 Feb 5 Very well made movie, great work with martial arts and music. The movie shows the martial art Rumi Maki coming from the ancient Inca civilization, shows how brutal the so-called Stone Hand can be with one blow. Marco also shows Taekwondo, Wing Chun, MMA, etc. His opponent on the other hand shows Kalaripayattu an ancient martial art which is just as deadly, it focuses on high flying acrobatics. At the end of the movie Marco manages to defeat him using Rumi Maki's Stone Hand. Passion over ego and putting the mind to work to do what needs to be done. The workout scenes are interesting while the fight scenes are intense. Very good movie for what it is, kind of strange for the characters to be speaking in Spanish but the subtitles are very good. See more Jeremy D 07/16/2023 Time well spent. Brilliant film. Well-acted, written, directed, action-choreographed, and good production values. Looking forward to Part Two. See more Mike K 05/17/2023 I'm a fan of good films and good martial arts films. There are some good fight scenes here but in between the film is slow and a little ponderous spouting too much pop-psych wisdom. I'd say it's mediocre at best.
