A cheerful, four-cylinder children's movie, though its car jokes aren't good for much mileage. Go to Full Review

Noah H @Noah85 23h I’m surprised this Herbie sequel is rated so low. I love it! Yeah, the absence of Dean Jones’ charm is felt here, but I feel like they made up for it by introducing an adorable little kid named Paco who bonds with Herbie! I felt like this was the emotional core of Herbie Goes Bananas, and I absolutely adore it! The musical number “A Friend” is so sweet and endearing, and I almost tear up every single time I listen to it. I thought the bullfight scene was pretty cool too because we never get to see Herbie in a bullfight before. That was awesome! In summary, I feel like this Herbie sequel is really underrated. Yeah, it may not have any epic races, but at least it takes Herbie into areas we’ve never seen him in before. Rating: 9/10. I love it. Harvey Korman is genius as usual, and the rest of the cast fit perfect. They are all great. It is a dated movie now for most I’m sure; however, it’s still fun for a clean film for kids, or to relieve a little early 80’s nostalgia.
