See more av 8 @anagha.vinay Apr 27 As I am about to mention in this review that this is one of my first action movies, I realise that I have rarely ventured out of the horror/romance/comedy/drama niche. I am glad that this is the beginning because it is a splendid mix of intellect and action to slowly ease me into the genre. Reacher is a drifter who has served in the army with distinction and earned the Silver Star, Bronze Star, Legion of Merit, Defence Superior Service Medal, and a Purple Heart. With a carefully framed mystery and meticulously crafted villains, Reacher is constantly on a quest to throw surprises and revelations our way. I loved the sequences of action—fistfights, firearms, and hot pursuits. Some of the twists took me by immense surprise and kept my adrenaline high. It is an absolutely thrilling and engaging watch. No, Jack Reacher is not a hero, but he is a mad-lovable vigilante. He cannot be found unless he wants to be, and he keeps his promises.
