It’s almost a blessing that 'K-Pops!’ is maybe the healthiest, sunniest example of an American artist leveraging his life story into cinematic form. Go to Full Review
Amy Nicholson Los Angeles Times 4d
This is the right time — and .Paak could be the right star — to earnestly explore what it means that the Top 40 is shifting eastward. But this adventure in Seoul is simply an ego trip. Go to Full Review
Brandon Yu New York Times 4d
Still, it has its momentary charms, mostly when it’s just .Paak and Rasheed riffing off each other, with the buoyant chemistry of a real father and son. Go to Full Review

Bright, goofy, and visually vibrant, the film pops with fun animated flourishes and a catchy original soundtrack. It creatively explores both Black and Korean cultures, highlighting the universal language of music and how it brings people together. Go to Full Review

.Paak proves a quadruple threat with the charming K-Pops! You can tell everyone had a good time making this film and the warmth between on and off screen the father and son stars radiates through. While not revolutionary, it's a good time at the movies. Go to Full Review

It’s too broad in terms of K-Pop as a cultural phenomenon of the moment, but BJ’s character growth, the celebration of music across generations, and a family repaired make K-Pops! Pop just enough Go to Full Review

Raven B 15h Great family movie! If you’re a fan of Anderson.Paak or enjoy KPop music, you’ll enjoy this film. Lots of funny moments, and unexpected cameos. I’m definitely going to see it again! See more Angel P 1d I like it so far. it pretty interesting and just be who you are and grown-up. this is not about k-pop. it's mostly like family moments. See more klarc N @klarcnaomi 1d I absolutely thoroughly enjoyed this movie! I loved how both cultures were highlighted and given the stage. The music was amazing! The jokes, pure silly goofy comedy!!! As a musician, this was very inspiring to see similar challenges we face in this industry and how we can use our own skills and talent to mold the "next ups." I felt seen. Unserious yet heartwarming. Congratulations on this film! A beautiful story!! See more Aaliyah 1d It’s a pretty cool movie. He touches on the influence of R&B, Hip-Hop, Soul, … etc (aka black people) has had in the kpop industry and within their music. Also shows how prayer can help in decision-making. If you like Anderson Pak you’ll love it and if you like kpop, you’ll love it too, as a couple of the stars are featured in it, as well as other iconic black artists such as earth, wind, and fire and Kirk Franklin. See more John 1d Thoroughly enjoyed this movie! Great writing, great cast and an amazing story! See more jesse v 3d School of Rock but with South Korean culture instead and shallow jokes and many tension breakers. There were some blatant ad-placements and questionable costume design that made me raise an eyebrow. The animations were charming, just wished there were less silly montages. This was obviously a movie made for TV, but had to go to theaters to recoup the licensing of some stuff. See more Read all reviews
