When a boyfriend tricks Lucy (Scarlett Johansson) into delivering a briefcase to a supposed business contact, the once-carefree student is abducted by thugs who intend to turn her into a drug mule. She is surgically implanted with a package containing a powerful chemical, but it leaks into her system, giving her superhuman abilities, including telekinesis and telepathy. With her former captors in pursuit, Lucy seeks out a neurologist (Morgan Freeman), who she hopes will be able to help her.

Seríamos deuses, máquinas perfeitas ou deixaríamos de ser humanos? O filme transforma essa teoria em uma jornada visual e filosófica que mistura ação, sci-fi e thriller existencial. No centro dessa transformação está Scarlett Johansson como Lucy, uma jovem comum que, após ser manipulada pelo namorado e cair nas mãos do cruel traficante Jang (Choi Min-sik), torna-se involuntariamente uma "mula" de uma droga sintética experimental. Quando a substância entra em seu organismo, inicia-se uma evolução progressiva — 10%, 20%, 30%… — até que sua consciência ultrapassa as barreiras do tempo, do espaço e da matéria. Personalmente considero que la película estuvo bien trabajada, hay mucha gente incapaz de ver y disfrutar una película que lo único que muestra es la capacidad de poder que alguna persona podría llegar a tener si pudiera aumentar su capacidad cerebral hasta el 100%, lo que es intrigante, aunque la película sea ciencia ficción plantea hipótesis de lo que podría llegar a ser, la gente se cree critica para poder definir la calificación de una película por solo el hecho de verla, pero la realidad es que solamente la critican mal, por varias sencillas razones, les pudo haber parecido aburrida y absurda, pero si se llegaran a pensar de la realidad esta película está mucho mejor elaborada que las tonterías que vemos hoy en día, por ejemplo: Zootopia 2, Avatar 3, Barbie, Goat, Anaconda o la empleada, películas vacías sin ningún sentido, claramente Lucy no llego o no mostró correctamente todas las cosas, pero la película esta excelente, piensen un poco o mejor no comeneten.

Luc Besson at his finest, not quite as witty as Fifth Element, or as poetic Leon...but this is a belter of a film nonetheless. Scarlett is excellent and Freeman decent too, but it's Besson's playful, inquisitive charm that shines brightest here ❤️
