MC R @RT91491190 Aug 4 A Maleficent rewatch. How original is Maleficent. I prefer this kinda movies more. A take on the villain of the Sleeping Beauty. Is far more interesting to see in an other light than just making the same movie. Angelina Jolie was incredible, so was Elle Fanning. The three fairy's were funny. But the human kingdom and especially King Stefan I could care less. I loved the darktone of the movie. The world building was beautiful, I loved the creatures. I hope Disney would stop with the live action remakes and instead start making newer and better stories with their known characters. I would prefer newer ideas and stories in general, but I get that people just asked for them but don't show when they come out. Wich is sad! This is a movie where the visual design is the main attraction, with the elaborate fantasy world, costumes, makeup, and digital effects carrying more interest than the story itself. Literally What The Hell is wrong with people? I can sympathise with Cruella, because she is a human but not Maleficent because she is SO CLEARLY A DEMON. Just teach us to be kind to one another and animals like Auroras friends. Not demons. So why didn't Disney include Auroras animal friends, instead? They could've just simply remade Disneys Sleeping Beauty, and tchaikovsky's soundtrack into today's world. Why.. If I was director I would have suggested Aurora grows up in the glen cottage raised by the fairies but as she comes of age and her 16th birthday approaches, the curse gives her strange dreams which she doesn't tell them about. always finding that same mysterious spinning wheel, maybe even working on it, but in one of those dreams she meets Philip which explains the song Once Upon A Dream. In her long sleep, she has nightmares of maleficent tormenting her, but she and Philip defeat her in different ways. See more Read all reviews
