This movie is like someone found the deleted scenes from the first three Paranormal Activity films, stitched them together with a potato, and called it a sequel. The acting? Stiffer than the possessed furniture. The scares? If your definition of “scary” is doors closing very slowly and people whispering “Did you hear that?” for two hours, then congratulations — this is your cinematic masterpiece. I kept waiting for something — anything — to happen. Instead, I got jump scares so predictable I could’ve set my watch by them. The ghost seemed bored too, probably left halfway through to haunt a more interesting house. By the time the credits rolled, I felt spiritually attacked — not by a demon, but by the filmmakers’ complete lack of creativity. If you ever find yourself tempted to watch Paranormal Activity 4, do yourself a favor: grab a bucket of paint, slather it on the wall, and stare at it for 90 minutes. This fourth installment in the series makes me think- why did no one decide to try and take out Katie's character and also some of the other occult members and witches in this movie? That should have been done and we wouldn't have to suffer with film makers having too much time on their hands with special effects that don't work and don't help this movie. This was by far one of the worst movies I have seen- because it doesn't scare me- it angers me that this series got this bad and doesn't scare you with the jump scares- which is the same tactic used in the other Paranormal Activity movies as well. This is one movie that we could do without- that doesn't scare you- it makes you think- what the hell did I just watch? This movie's ending could have been a lot better where there is hope and there was none at the end of this movie. This movie SUCKS and some of the evil characters in it need to die and as always in this series- we never see that part of it and fans deserve a good ending instead of a bad one. 1 out of 5 stars- THROW THIS ONE INTO THE TRASH. I think the acting is pretty good for found footage movie. Like I said, I like almost all the Paranormal Activity movies up until Next Of Kin. The characters are really good but i wish they had more to do. The whole movie is spent of the daughter and her super funny boyfriend trying to find out whats going on with this little annoying kid Hunter who lives across the street with demon Katie. The movie is terrible and the scares aren’t good at all. All though there is two scares I enjoyed.
