Melissa M @Lisey Jun 3 If you like gross out comedies. Unapologetic comedies then this movie is for you. One good thing the movie has going for it is it has an All-Star comedy cast. Each character has its own story to tell. An eccentric millionaire comes along and offers them a chance to run in One rat race they wouldn't mind running. There is $2 million at stake. This movie proves that anybody would do anything for the almighty dollar. Randy, Nick, & Tracy are some of the best characters in the film. The scenes with Nick & Tracy LOL. Especially the helicopter scene when Tracy buzzes her cheating boyfriend. When Randy steals Hitler's car. And Randy accidentally flips off a biker babe & is ambushed by a bunch of angry biker chicks. Even though this movie has moments of hilarity. Would definitely not race to see it again. See more Par H @Parhwy Feb 11 Rat Race is a silly, enjoyable romp over an incredible 112 minutes. Incredibly, it’s 1963 progenitor, It’s a Mad, Mad, Mad World ran for as long as 202 minutes. A broadly known cast give us expected and not-so-expected characters. I enjoyed the "rats" as well as some of the bit players (Cleese’s teeth fall into this category; Dean Caine does not). I enjoy Vince Vieluf. His tongue-ring mutism and screeching, yelling is just so anarchic, cathartic. His brother, Seth Green, is… Seth Green. Rental Car Trainee is just iconic (he’s pretty fly for a white guy). Whoopie plays against the grain of her oeuvre: she’s trusting, naïve. For a comedy which is nearly two hours long, I cannot think of much of anything which is redundant or unenjoyable. Maybe the Amy Smart cutting sick on Dean Cain scene? Maybe the cow/balloon scene? The film is easy to watch, a good dose of laughter (well, aside from the now awks sex/gender jokes). See more martin c @Reasoner Jan 18 Painful to watch. Shut it off after 20 min. When I mean silly, I don't mean laugh out loud Dumb and Dumber silly, but eye rolling stupidity that will have you questioning why some powerhouse comedic actors thought it was worthy of their talents, silly. I'm 'still watching it for the first time, nearing the end, and felt compelled to review it as I write this, and I've only laughed aloud a few times' silly. Fire up Cannon Ball run instead.
