Paper-thin plot with a cast of carbon-copy twenty-somethings on holiday, going cave diving with what has to be one of the worst CGI-rendered bull sharks ever put on screen. One baffling decision follows another, with the survival instincts of a group of manically depressed lemmings. The characters seem determined to outdo each other in making the worst possible choices, the dialogue is painfully generic, and any attempt at building suspense is drowned out by predictable jump scares and laughable special effects. Devil’s Mouth somehow manages to make sharks, underwater caves, and claustrophobia feel boring. Save yourself the time and watch literally anything else. The fact that they left one of their friends behind at the start should have been a lesson for her to ditch this toxic group—but no. The lack of professionalism shown by the person in charge of the first outing is repeated during the second, as he flees and leaves them to fight the shark. Forgettable; the most insufferable character is the Japanese woman who wanted to boss everyone and everything around. See more Amber H @8Amber 1d I'm shocked of how bad this movie is. Script was terrible, acting was bland, CGI was so bad they could have gotten a plastic shark and it would have been more believable. Whoever thought of this needs to reconsider everything. There were so many inconsistencies throughout the movie: the size of the shark, the location of the characters, their bloody flippers just appearing and disappearing from their feet! Some plot points were utterly useless, for example their parents being dead. Their acting was so lacklustre I believed they were apathetic about their friends dying right in front of them. And worst of all, why give the main character a knife if its only use was to stick into a bloody rock?
