As far as heady sci-fi projects go, this might be the least traditional of them all. Go to Full Review

John T @BarRescueCrew 8h Spoilers for this piece of garbage: The concept for the film is immaculate. It immediately draws you into the setting and this is as good as you’re going to get. The whole movie starts slowly collapsing as it progresses until it hits the big inflection point, where we learn that he was Jesus. Because of course he was, because the writer is a hack. It took a movie that could go any direction and chopped off every limb for what? There wasn’t even really a payoff. But that isn’t even the biggest sin of this movie, no, for that let’s skip ahead to the ending. For the WHOLE MOVIE they’ve been playing with the concept of whether the main character is lying the whole time. Has he been alive forever? Is he just messing with them before he leaves? Will we ever know? Of course we will! The movie ends with the old dude realizes the guy was HIS DAD (lmfao) and then goes "bleh I’m dead, love you son!" And then the main character moonwalks off stage right. End of movie. See more Will G @Kingofthepixies Jan 27 The best cerebral sci-fi? Tony (candyman) Todd is awesome in this. The acting is first rate. See more Michael A @MikeFlick Jan 19 The premise is very intriguing but it falls apart pretty quickly. If I am one of the four "academics" I could have either debunked who he claimed to be or verify it in fairly rapid order whether or not he was 14,000 years old. He claimed to be Sumarian. Fine, speak to me in Sumarian language and then write out what you said in cuneiform script. Better yet speak to me in Akkadian which was spoken by the Babylonians wtih Assyrian dialects. He would have known these languages. If he was Christ he could also speak Aramaic. If he could not do any of these then his claims would be highly doubtful. As a history teacher my kids always ask me if I could go back in time how far back would I go? My answer, no farther than 1215 when the Magna Carta was written and even then I would barely be able to communicate in the spoken "english" of the period. Otherwise, it was in interesting premise. See more Bernie S @B_Movie_Man Jan 4 This movie starts off intriguing and jumps a shark about 1/2-way through. The lead claims to be 14000 years old and starts telling tales if his early life and his awareness. His four "men of science" collogues both listen and criticize him pointing out that he is simple retelling every cliche about early man found in any natural history book. Then he says he is Jesus and repeats every non-believer cliche about Jesus (he faked his death, with a trance instead of drugs), he was misunderstood, he learned everything from Buddhists (instead of Egyptians), blah blah blah, and all of a sudden the "four men of science" start to believe everything he says. Possibly the dumbest part is where he claims Jesus was preaching to the Romans trying to reform their society instead of preaching to the Jews. Great movie for simple minds trying to pretend they are deep by embracing every cliche out there. You should probably be high while watching, because otherwise it is just cringe. See more Rex K @Rex_Klone Jan 4 Watching all over again in 2026 and still is one of the best iteration of a fascinating discussion between scholars and learned men and women. Though 12 angry men could be considered subpar to this one, the storytelling alone is a combination of fantasy embroided with real world truths See more Read all reviews
