After 12 years of bucolic bliss, Mr. Fox breaks a promise to his wife and raids the farms of their human neighbors, Boggis, Bunce, and Bean. Giving in to his animal instincts endangers not only his marriage but also the lives of his family and their animal friends. When the farmers force Mr. Fox and company deep underground, he has to resort to his natural craftiness to rise above the opposition.

That Anderson made Fantastic Mr. Fox very obviously his film, both in the thematic and visual realms, in a medium comparatively out of the ordinary to his other works, speaks to his ability as an auteur.

Confusing narrative, animation was made by a 5 year old, unlikeable protagonist, messy plot, movie ending was stupid and ended abruptly without any explanation.

The whole movie feels like he’s searching for a sense of freedom in sort of materialistic way. For example, buying a big tree as a new home instead of staying in the den with his family, where they belong cause they’re foxes…He’s keep denying his identity as a wild animal and trying to be smtg bigger, greater and fantastic.He wants to inspire people and aspire to be just like him otherwise he’ll feel not good enough and worthless..Also ash character (his son) also resembles his father in a clearly way of identity crisis.. He always competes with others to be better.. For his dad to finally be proud of him.. He go out of his way to be "normal"..He never felt good enough about himself, constantly got overlooked, Always thinks it’s his fault of smth went wrong and when everyone says that he’s different he asked "I’m not different,Am I?".
