All of which is punctuated by the eyerolls of a man who gives the impression of wishing to be anywhere else. Go to Full Review

A joy, with missed putts. Viewers will certainly laugh, many times. But they’ll also smile, from the first hole to the last pub. Go to Full Review

A Course Called Ireland is shambolic, low-energy, largely aimless stuff. Murray seems to be having a good time, but doesn’t make much of an effort to ensure the viewers have one too. Go to Full Review

It really is the worst possible case of Groundhog Day as Murray and his British production crew set off on a tour of the country, filling up their bingo card of musty stereotypes and condescending chestnuts as they go. Go to Full Review

Chris T @RT57782164 1 day ago This is one of the greatest, most authentic and heartwarming tv series I’ve ever had the pleasure of watching. The various scathing press reviews I’ve seen online clearly don’t ‘get it’ and are obviously based on a cynical, overworked reporter watching one episode and not giving it the time or attention it deserves. The series includes beautiful observation, wry narration and great character studies along with incredible scenery and the balls to show BTS and the crew at work to create a picture of wjat it must be like to be Bill Murray. Yes he does sometimes come across as a little grumpy but who wouldn’t be with every single day being harrassed for selfies with complete strangers? It’s a gentle, funny, engaging, charming picture of some lovely characters and a beautiful country. Give it a chance and you will be hooked, the press are wrong, this is the best series you will watch this year. See more Scott W @RT86825494 2 days ago I really enjoyed this. See more jcb @RT54227117 3 days ago I have watched all 6 episodes - and completely disagreed with the newspaper reviewers... thought Bill Murray was authentically human - and far more sympathetic for it. Down with fakery and excessive niceness...There was a bit of Ireland tourism promotion for the American market (all that shopping in golf shops) but there was plenty of the real thing - good pub scenes - a lot of drinking - some Yeats thrown in - and spectacular views. Made me actually want to play golf ...
