After Barbara and Adam Maitland die in a car accident, they find themselves stuck haunting their country residence, unable to leave the house. When the unbearable Deetzes and teen daughter Lydia (Winona Ryder) buy the home, the Maitlands attempt to scare them away without success. Their efforts attract Beetlejuice, a rambunctious spirit whose help quickly becomes dangerous for the Maitlands and innocent Lydia.

Beetlejuice is a fantastic movie. And Michael Keaton who plays Beetlejuice is the best part. He’s funny and inappropriate and pretty much exactly what you would expect some asshole to become if he had a few hundred years to stew in his undead filth.

It was a nice, fun movie. Winona Ryder was especially enjoyable, as were Geena Davis and Michael Keaton. Ah, and "Mr. Rooney" from Ferris Bueller's Day Off (sorry, don't remember his name).
