I can't believe I'm saying this, but this is the best movie in the cars franchise by an absolute mile. Going into this I thought I would hate it as McQueen is basically just slow and it is the end of his long and memorable career. However, It really demonstrates the transition to the next generation not just of cars but of the whole world. It's the first time we see a movie where McQueen is considered the slow one which is for me an unexpectedly strong finish to the series as it adds a feeling of hunger and desire to the movies that I have just never felt before. This is great for all ages and is without a doubt a very fun watch. That on top of so many new characters and amazing, memorable locations along the journey make this a fantastic movie.

I was impressed with this one I've been watching the cars movies with my son and this is a good one. Technically it's solid movie with great animation and actually some great racing scenes and is paced pretty well. The story is great and a really solid juxtaposition to the first with McQueen at opposite ends of his career, trying to find that next chapter in his life and the journey to get there. I did think some of the story was a little too much but overall it was great. The experience was overall good and it was a good time. It's not ground breaking but better than ok
