Adored by his single mother and his little brother Sam, Charlie St. Cloud (Zac Efron) is an accomplished sailor and college-bound senior with a bright future ahead of him. This is supposed to be an inspirational drama about overcoming grief, but with High School Musical dreamboat Zac Efron in the title role, it keeps turning into a Tiger Beat photo spread.

While the subject matter tends towards morbidity, the film-makers strive to divert us with many dappling sunsets, the blue of Ephron's eyes and a sappy melodrama that even 13-year-old girls might scoff at.

Mainly a star vehicle, while flows akin to a Nicholas Sparks novel by dramatic tone and the other half being thematic indulgent into the source material’s supposed spirituality loosely gripped, the film impactfully delivers in envisioning grief through Efron’s continuously evolving gravitas that soulfully uplifts the picture against its illogic alignments. Filme fraco, o roteiro é fraco, as cenas são fracas, a história é fraca, o elenco é fraco, e ninguém ajuda a melhorar o filme, os personagens são fracos, e o filme deveria ter cenas bem melhores e relevantes, para fazer o filme ser bom
