The story follows the Seversons, a family starting fresh in a quiet suburban neighborhood, whose next-door neighbors, the Kringles, celebrate Christmas year-round. What begins as charming quickly turns unsettling, as Mark and Julie grow concerned about their son's growing attachment to the family. After a heated confrontation, Mark heads next door to bring his family home only to uncover the Kringles' true intentions: to hypnotize and indoctrinate them. What follows is a life-or-death rescue mission, as Mark teams up with a rogue, badass Santa in a high-stakes, action-packed fight to save his family.

There’s nothing like an early holiday Santa slasher comedy brainlessly splashed with gore if you’re so desperate you can’t find anything else. My reaction? Ho-Ho Hell No! Go to Full Review

Visually obnoxious but uninventive, featuring actors giving uninspired performances as characters you don’t care to see live or die, it lacks even an ounce of the joy that its eponymous family claims is their reason for living. Go to Full Review

The haphazard plotting, world-building, and character construction could have been overcome had the film delivered on its promise of being either amusing or scary. Go to Full Review

A nasty, lowbrow piece of work, and there only certain sickies to whom I could recommend it. It’s too farcical to be really scary, and it gets repetitive as it pads out a thin premise. Go to Full Review
