There will be teeth-gnashing comparisons to Eggers’ Nosferatu (2024), adapted from Murnau’s 1922 fan-fic of Stoker’s 1897 novel, yet Besson’s Dracula feels like its moonlit counterpart rather than its echo, brothers from another mother, if you will.

Don’t listen to the critics— this moving was hauntingly beautiful. It made Dracula a gut wrenching gothic love story and gave it depth. It was so well acted by all and the directing and art style was incredible. Criminally underrated! People literally clapped in the theater at the end.

Dracula was a very refreshing mature family film entirely appropriate for families with teens with sexuality, mature themes, and violence ( but no nudity). It was rated R, but could have been PG-13 by some people's standards. I really enjoyed the movie.
