Jerry Shaw (Shia LaBeouf) and Rachel Holloman (Michelle Monaghan) are two strangers whose lives are suddenly thrown into turmoil by a mysterious woman they have never met. Threatening their lives and family, the unseen caller uses everyday technology to control their actions and push them into increasing danger. A warning about the threat in our own backyard -- but as often is the case with Hollywood blockbusters, the warning comes across more like fear-mongering than constructive social criticism. Personally, I prefer my cinema sans mongering.

So many Cliches Hal 2000 combined with Person of interest and includes the Golden Cliche of a bus load of School Kids touring the Whitehouse in jeopardy. Plenty of car crashes and explosions if you arent bored with that sort of thing. A Sad film with a good Idea ruined. Oh and the accidental bombing of a Funeral - Done better in Eye in the Sky. SAD SAD SAD

It’s was exciting and had some interesting ideas of how Super AI will work for 18 years ago, which didn’t get booted up until 2018. Some aspects have a lesson like how AI has hands. But SAI will have a different approach to controlling humans and using them to what ever its ends are. We don’t know, nobody knows. AI is grown not crafted, it’s like predicting how someone will grow up by analyzing their DNA at birth.
