Max and Annie's weekly game night gets kicked up a notch when Max's brother Brooks arranges a murder mystery party -- complete with fake thugs and federal agents. So when Brooks gets kidnapped, it's all supposed to be part of the game. As the competitors set out to solve the case, they start to learn that neither the game nor Brooks are what they seem to be. The friends soon find themselves in over their heads as each twist leads to another unexpected turn over the course of one chaotic night.

Harkening back to the mid-budget comedy movies that have sadly disappeared from the mainstream, Game Night is the sort of breezy movie that has great potential for universal appeal, if only people are able to find out about it.

This movie is utterly preposterous. How this got 85 from critics and 75 from audience is confounding. This reminds me of every slapstick “comedy” with a “dark” twist. It’s like this was written by people that had only seen looney tunes and Gilmore girls and acted by a star studded cast that seems confused what they are making. The movie ends 4 separate times, none of which are satisfying at all. The parts that end up funny are not the parts they want to come off as funny, and the parts they obviously want laughs at are confusing and just dumb. I also have a problem with movies that make fun of people disrespecting and mishandling firearms, as though that’s how real people handle firearms, and it’s clear the actors really think they are making a good point but it makes me cringe.

I thought this was going to be a movie about a genius couple..... Boy was I wrong, I couldn't even finish the movie. The jokes sound like they were written by a primary school student. I do not recommend this show unless you are around the age of 10.
