What to Know

Critics Consensus

Minimalist in presentation while getting great mileage out of Rosamund Pike and Matthew Rhys' superb performances, Hallow Road is a nerve-wracking thriller that takes audiences down a haunting path.

Two people talking in a car. Hardly the stuff of white-knuckle drama, right? It is when you hitch two phenomenal actors, Rosamund Pike and Matthew Rhys, to a suspenseful script and tightly coiled direction by Babak Anvari, and then let them rip. Go to Full Review

Nicholas E Nov 17 Hallow Road was GREAT!!! See more Mr Hollywood Nov 5 As a double feature I had a blast. Miss these types of screenings. “Vincent Must Die” was average for me. Nothing special. Seems the director didn’t know or couldn’t think of an explanation so just left it as whatever. “Hallow Road” was the better film. Mysterious and intriguing. I have my idea about it but overall in the moment I was locked in. I went with it and had a great time. Overall I wish they would do more double features. See more Scott B @sburke802 6h Well written with superb acting. Keeps you guessing the entire way. See more Ulysse T @Uworsfold 1d Mehh. Whole movie took place in a car talking on the phone. They label it as "horror" thriller but absolutely 0 part of this movie was even remotely scary. As an enthusiast of terrifying movies I am convinced that we are headed in a direction where everyone wants to do something oddly "creative" and can no longer produce decent horror films. I missss the days that horror was scary, pop outs were jumpy and I had to cover my eyes when VHS, The descent, cabin in the woods, blare witch project and other terrifying films were the standard. See more Dawn K. @QueenBee54 Feb 22 Loved this movie! Rosamund Pike nailed it! See more Christian T. @chef_ct Feb 17 Although it had a good start from the beginning… 90% of the film took place in their car on the phone. It was non cinematic, acting was terrible and story line was too simple. See more Read all reviews
