Unfortunately, the execution sucks much of the whimsy out of what could have been a fun autumnal horror romp. Go to Full Review

Hallowarrior is the feature debut of Ben Sottak, an experienced short film-maker, and on this evidence he’s likely to be worth keeping an eye out for. Go to Full Review

Small-scale, brisk, and unassuming, Hallowarrior nevertheless makes for a very satisfying watch, offering just the perfect amount of diverting entertainment for those who stumble upon in on streaming. Go to Full Review

A well made, but unfortunately overly formulated film, Hallowarrior is a fine way to whittle around some Halloween season hours, but not quite punchy enough to become a future classic. Go to Full Review

Hallowarrior holds its own, while also being blessedly concise, proving that, as the true lovers of this particular holiday, the authors are aware that, while gorging on candy is fun, there is a certain advantage to leaving room for more. Go to Full Review

The atmosphere and committed performances do a lot of heavy lifting, but it works well enough, and the brisk pace helps. Better than your average Shudder Original. Go to Full Review

Kashgar A @AllFunAndGames 14 hrs ago Performances were first rate, the cinematography was beautiful, the story was short and simple with a loving nod to the horror classics of the 70s. I really liked it See more R T @RT78139196 1 day ago I’ve never written a Rotten Tomatoes review, but this movie changed that. I liked the beginning. Her isolation and desperation were interesting. Then the other characters arrived and it went straight downhill. Shannyn Sossamon is back in a post-apocalyptic cannibal siege, basically The Day with her on the other side of the door. I know The Day didn’t invent the premise, but come on. At least its house-as-a-food-trap was clever. Here we get dialogue so obvious the characters might as well wink at the camera, and we’re supposed to believe this girl can fend off a group with Home Alone traps. An electric Thanksgiving carving knife slicing through leather? Really? I turned it off when they dumped candy on the floor to make someone slip. Candy. On the floor. I enjoy dumb horror movies, but this was lazy. I kept watching because of the glowing reviews. Are we making movies for people scrolling on their phones now? Maybe the ending was brilliant. I didn’t make it past the candy. See more Craig B @Boundsy 1 day ago I quite enjoyed this little gem. Strong performances, solid plot and some generally creepy moments See more Lovell T @Lovell 2 days ago A kid's worst nightmare in home alone...er...Halloween. If the ghosts don't get you, the gores will. See more Zachary A @RT12887869 3 days ago I personally loved this movie. It’s an obvious ode to 80s movies, and it’s visually beautiful. I love any horror movie that has a grainy look to it and I’ll always appreciate newer horror movies that make that effort. It’s very gory yet somehow still cute and heartfelt. Really enjoyed this one. See more Jonathan L @SureJon 4 days ago Not bad, but left me wanting more. See more Read all reviews
