As a former London constable, Nicholas Angel (Simon Pegg) finds it difficult to adapt to his new assignment in the sleepy British village of Sandford. Not only does he miss the excitement of the big city, but he also has a well-meaning oaf (Nick Frost) for a partner. This is great filmmaking and storytelling that just so happens to allude to other action movies in its construction. And quite frankly, it’s greatly entertaining in both the comedic and action realms, far surpassing its referenced sources.

An absolute delight of a movie. The writing is so quick witted and the pacing is perfect for me. the directing style was so unique and would make this a fun rewatch. The story was well put together and at the same time very unique and fun. The acting was great and Simon Pegg was the perfect straight man for this type of film. I was lucky enough to watch this with someone who is a huge fan which goes to show how rewatchable it is. Even knowing the twist at the end doesn't deter you from throwing it on. I highly recommend if you get the chance as it is a great watch.

My favourite type of British comedy with a lot of dry humour. I liked the length of the film even though I started/stopped it several times due to my ADHD. I thought the who dun it plot was done well especially because it's so common and often poorly done in comedies. I found the representation of the police to be hilarious and they really did nail the presentation of the police force in the UK in terms of their differing personalities and approach which is a balance between serious/comical.

You have to watch it after Shaun of the Dead, because the cast is basically the same. This movie was so fast, it made my dizzy. So much going on. It was cool.
