There’s just not enough space given to these characters to grow into full beings, or for us to understand the full import of their actions before we’re whisked away elsewhere. Go to Full Review

Too limp, uninspired and barren to conjure any of the requisite wonder for the persistence of life, the equivalent to watching paint dry on the cave wall. Go to Full Review

Andrew Stanton's film feels less like a film than a commercial for life insurance that got out of hand. Go to Full Review

When the film itself unwittingly tumbles into its own vast logical crevasses, well, it’s a lost cause. Go to Full Review

Poignant as these stakes may be, the presentation of this message doesn’t sting well enough to justify skin-deep characters. Go to Full Review

The fragmented structure prevents the human connection that Stanton so strongly defends from deeply materializing, resulting in a sincere visual essay that’s admired more for its intention than its final result. Go to Full Review

Julian N @Juju_ 3h The music was amazing! Especially, the choir! See more granthana T @granny536 16h 1. nothing is inspiring about this movie. It portrays the dangerous and very Elon Musk solution to the climate crisis is that we need to exit and abandon Earth. Interestingly, scientists could create the formula for eternal life, but not a way to repair Earth. No one is held accountable for the 'diseased' condition of earth. They just up and leave, and perhaps, will end up destroying yet another planet. Think about the stupidity of the drones shooting SEEDS into Kepler. 2. It is transhumanist, and we all know that a repackaged technologically based humanism can never be good, especially in these present times. 3. Everything feels superficial. We don't bond with anyone. It almost feels pointless watching the characters stumble upon decisions that ultimately seem to serve no purpose except parrot an old adage that YES DEATH IS GOOD, but the one person who doesn't die seems to be completely fine (no mental or physical turmoil) Don't watch this. Save yourself. See more Misael M @StarPower87 16h Just an amazing film of humanity and how amazing we truly are mixed with Love, loss and all the emotions humans have to deal with all throughout time. The critics were absolutely wrong on this film. It was beautiful, and it was the first movie in a long time that made me cry. The movie was not meant for the weak or simple minded. A slow burn that rewards with a beautiful ending. Even with the film being a slow burn it was still fantastic in every scene. The symbolism and the way the stories tie together was amazing. Different people with different lives over thousands of years. I cannot really put into words how great this film was. It’s a shame how many simple minded critics are in the game right now. Truly a masterpiece of a film and is so much deeper than the surface watch most people watch films at. It really digs deep and makes you think. It really shows how resilient we all are as humans and everything everyone goes through regardless of time.Love,Life and death. Beautiful film. See more Anthony N. @Anthony052121 19h Different really couldn’t get into it! Previews made it look decent was not worth the time! See more Jeff D @Jazzyboots 21h Critics are way off on this! Sci-Fi has mostly been for a masculine point of view. I think the feminine arcs & storytelling was wonderful. The Ai character was fascinating & important especially with where we are currently as society. Made me cry, so I really enjoyed. Critics chill.. it's not groundbreaking but very enjoyable. See more Bruce R 22h I get that there is supposed to be a profound message here, but it feels contrived for the most part. I found myself wanting to know about one of the timelines, but in more detail. I would've rather watched a movie about that, rather than the skipping between timelines. This is fine to watch on streaming on a Sunday afternoon. Not much rewatchability. All in all, well acted, but the message was predictable and began to drag in the second half of the film.
