Writer-director Steve Oedekerk acquired the little known 1976 Hong Kong karate flick "Savage Killers," then seamlessly blended portions of the film with new material he has directed to create a wild, off-the-wall, comedy feature film. Oedekerk wrote, directed and stars in "Enter The Fist," placing himself digitally into the old film, re-dubbing the characters, as well as shooting new scenes.

Naturally, much fun is made of the poorly synchronized dialogue inherent in kung fu flicks, but the gag pales with repetition, especially since Billy Crystal and Robin Williams did it better years ago. Go to Full Review

Its best gags are great, but they make up something like 5% of the whole, and its middle-tier gags are pretty mediocre. Go to Full Review

Steve Oedekerk's ode to bad '70s Hong Kong cinema is a gleefully bizarre combination of loving homage and merciless satire, bad special effects and unexpected jokes. Go to Full Review

asco A @RT25142702 1 day ago Kung Pow: Enter the Fist is not just a movie; it’s a life-altering experience and a timeless work of art. From the very first absurd scene, it pulled me into a world where comedy and madness blend perfectly. Its revolutionary mix of old kung fu footage with new, outrageous dialogue shattered my understanding of storytelling. This film exploded my worldview, flooding my soul with pure joy and absurdity. It’s a genius creation that stands alongside the greatest artistic achievements in history. Kung Pow unites all generations and cultures through laughter—the purest universal language. This isn’t just entertainment; it’s a beacon of innovative comedy and artistic brilliance. Watching it changed my life forever. If you haven’t seen Kung Pow, prepare for a mind-blowing, laughter-filled journey that will stay with you eternally. This was the movie that i watched on my first date! and im gay for master betty. See more Peter W @RT12077588 Oct 23, 2026 Kung Pow: Enter the Fist is stupid, ridiculous and completely absurd on every level, with its bizarre dialogue, random jokes and over-the-top comedy. Yet somehow, it works. I find myself laughing hysterically every time, quoting the lines endlessly and appreciating just how unique this film truly is. What many people overlook is the incredible achievement behind the madness. Steve Oedekerk didn’t just write and direct the film; he also stars as the lead character. The movie takes an existing martial arts film, combines it with newly filmed material featuring a very limited number of actors, and creates an entirely new comedic experience through clever editing, visual effects and dubbed dialogue. Long before the era of AI, Oedekerk created something that felt unlike anything audiences had ever seen before. It’s wild, creative and completely committed to its own ridiculous vision. See more Enrique M @RT48956660 Sep 2, 2026 Es una película cómica y cumple con la finalidad, es muy graciosa, por ratos tonta, pero te hace reír mucho aún si ya eres mayor See more Gabriel R @RT15916833 Sep 1, 2026 First thing first. This is an martial arts parody and surreal/absurdist comedy movie, if you don't like the genres, don't waste your time. But you should give it a try :) Second. This is an old 70's movie. The rights were bought and all dialogues and some actors/actresses were inserted. So... it's genius!! LOL.
