The music on the the cassette leads her towards him, and as her grief fades, the iron oxide on that cassette fades ....until she can only hear white noise. Maybe this is how long it takes us to grieve, and the length of our grief is determined on how often we revisit our memory of them. I absolutely loved this film. Not at any moment was there any tension or sense of reality. Near the end I assumed it was created by AI and the characters, all of whom were chosen from Love Island suddenly evaporated. The film shirt on Insta was masterful in making the film seem moving and poignant, yet it was just awful. One can't help but wonder if all people want today are explosions every few minutes or superheroes flying through a world of CGI. When a drama actually does try to explore human emotions it's often dismissed as a schlocky tear-jerker. However, for those people who still appreciate stories of genuine human emotion and experience, and themes such as love, grief and redemption, this movie will not disappoint. It's beautifully directed, acted and photographed. Margaret Qualley's career has been gaining steam for several years now but I don't know if she's ever played a role as demanding as this one and performed it so beautifully. She is wonderful and heartbreaking in this film. This is a movie well worth watching. Sad, yes. But so much more substantial than most of what passes for cinema these days.
