06/09/2015 Don't expect an easy ride the whole way through, it has very dark moments,but it is more than worth it. Having seen a Gurland short- it appears race is a preoccupation and here he and Botko pan out to bring gender roles into the picture. The result is laugh out loud funny. The cast are all excellent & it is truly a fantastic example of Indie Cinema, yYu wade through a lot of crap to find films like this, but what a reward when you do. See more 03/07/2013 Great acting but I don't really know what I feel about the rest of it. I didn't find it funny in the least, probably because I have some knowledge of what mail order brides actually experience and it's not a really funny subject. Also, I don't know what we're supposed to take away from this movie-that all men are pigs or that women are manipulating bitches? I think the filmmakers took on a grim subject but failed to stir any emotion in me other than discomfort and ambivalence. So, well done in fact, that if someone didn't tell you that going in, you might mistake it for a real report from "60 Minutes" or something and miss all the humor, because gags are delivered so dry & quick.
