The best you can offer Masterplan is faint praise: it could breeze by as company to your Sunday night takeout even if you will struggle to remember it a week later. Go to Full Review

This won’t go down as one of Tucci’s finest films, but it’s a fun way to pass a cold October night when you’re looking for a horror or Hallmark romance alternative. Go to Full Review

Masterplan knows it’s ridiculous, which helps with its watchability if not exactly its quality. Go to Full Review

As far as straight-to-streaming heist movies go – and yes, that is very much a genre in its own right these days – Masterplan is one of the better efforts you will come across. Go to Full Review

The film has all the ingredients of an entertaining heist comedy but cannot balance its many elements, making all of the threads feel half-baked and underexplored. Go to Full Review

The story could conceivably go on forever as long as it keeps tacking on “clever” little twists, but lord help us, this movie already gives us enough for three movies. Three bad movies. Go to Full Review

Micah U @MicahYou 2 hrs ago Expectation: dumb made for streaming heist comedy. What I liked: I give a lot of credit to Stanley Tucci, Victor Belmondo, and Simona Tabasco. This is a bad script and a fairly generic obviously made for streaming movie. Nonetheless, the three main actors actually play the underlying theme of a group of lonely people coming together to form a family with tons of sincerity and it actually worked for me. I actually felt a little emotion well up at the emotional climax. What I didnt like: The script is rough. The jokes are very belabored. Quite a bit of the plot stretches credulity. It shouldnt be a good movie yet I got way more out of it due to the performances. Conclusion: a streaming heist movie that just might surprise you with its genuine performances. See more The Honest R @RT29830032 3 days ago When this trio of master criminals gang up to steal the Mona Lisa, the most famous painting in the world, questions are raised. The plan is rushed through, the technology is unexplained, and the characters had little to no chemistry together. The introductions of the siblings were confusing and their goals were unexplained. Many steps in the heist hinge on a single aspect going perfectly correct- no cameras, a blackout in which none of the guards use flashlights, and Mona Lisa flying over Paris for several minutes, without wind, rain, hail, hitting a building, landing in a police station, or an unfortunate marring by bird droppings. In the end, the painting was stolen; not to be sold, given to a boss, or even displayed in the characters' home, but to sit in a small restaurant until the end of time. The movie is good for a laugh. Johnathan: 1/10. Joshua: 2/10. Rachel: 7-8/10. For the full review, please go to The Honest Reel on YouTube and make sure to let us know your honest opinions. See more Movie W @Moviewatcher825 5 days ago I had to ask myself what language they were speaking more times than I could handle. Maybe the actors and script are good on a normal day but these people are not English speakers so I cannot follow what is going on. They say the words but if the actors don't understand what they are saying, how can we? So disappointing because the video and facial expressions look good but they would've been better off letting the actors speak their own languages and adding subtitles rather than making English speakers need subtitles to try and understand our own language from people who don't speak it. In the US, we love a good accent but it honestly just didn't seem to me that the actors even comprehended what they were saying and that goes beyond bad pronunciation. Really disappointing.
