Left for dead on a sun-scorched planet, fugitive Riddick fights for survival against alien predators more lethal than any human he has yet encountered. His only hope for escape is to activate an emergency beacon, but that brings with it a different problem: mercenaries. The first ship carries an especially violent and lethal group; the second is led by a man from Riddick's past. With time running out, Riddick realizes that neither group will leave without his head as a trophy.

Riddick's army betrays him on his search for his home world, Furya, leaving him for dead on a deserted planet where he must beacon mercenaries to get off. They did a good job intertwining the first two films and visually this is the best one yet, but they didn't seem to add much to the story and Riddick is kinda cringey.

For me, and I consider Sci ci movies like aliens or blade runner masterpieces. I consider Riddick as a flawless Sci fi horror action masterpiece. The cast is likeable and have great energy together which is rare in modern movies. The look of the movie. The dialogue, the ecosystem of the planet, the score, the survival aspect.. I really love this movie. I think also it's the best in the franchise. Severely underrated!
