Once in a very great while, a movie insinuates itself so deeply into your consciousness that it offers not vicarious experience but instead, direct experience. Steven Spielberg's heartfelt, monumental Schindler's List is such a movie. Go to Full Review

It’s doubtful this will relinquish its lofty status any time soon, not so long as its message of hope existing and even thriving within horrendous circumstances continues to resonate. Go to Full Review

It's a hauntingly beautiful creation and was the first of its kind to portray the Holocaust like this. The colour choices (hints of red, black and white), the cast, and the historic accuracy of this movie is beyond anything I have ever seen. The attention to detail and the impressive decisions and creativity to tell such an emotionally devastating story like this was beyond amazing and I truly do not think another movie could come parallel to it. Every student needs to watch this in highschool. Every person should watch this atleast once in their lifetime. It is so educational and comes to show us that the world can be a cruel place but that if there's even a tiny fraction or sliver of hope and kindness, humanity and the good in this world can survive. It's so hard to formulate the words to describe this film, so all I can say is it is absolute PERFECTION. Please give this movie the attention and the audience it deserves! See more Cinema S @cinema_sensei Aug 7 A masterpiece in every sense. Spielberg's direction, the unforgettable performances, the haunting score, and the emotional storytelling come together perfectly. Schindler's List is devastating from beginning to end, yet it never loses sight of hope, compassion, and the value of every human life. This movie had me heartbroken all 195 minutes through. Especially, as an orthodox religious jew, this movie really shook me. Personally, I'm only 13 years old, so when watching this movie, I had to have quite a number of scenes skipped out for me, so even not seeing the worst shook me to the core. Liam Neeson is a phenomenal actor and played this role phenomanally too. Also, John William's score is incredible and many aspects of this movie were really clever and well thought about such as the girl in the red dress and the fact that all scenes were black and white except for the first and last. Thumbs up Steven Spielberg. What a movie. See more Read all reviews
