Mathew H. @mahops 4d I rewatched for the first time in two decades. The movie still holds up after all this time, the acting of Dennis Hopper Keanu Reeves and Jeff Daniels was phenomenal. I had to go four and a half Stars instead of five, only because of the bus jumping scene was wild... this giant bus rocket ships itself off of a flat surface with a distance Evel Knievel wouldn't touch and everybody remained in their seats upon landing, all well maintaining that 50 mph speed. Keanu should have died a dozen times, and does not through blind luck rather than skill. The motivations of the wannabe Joker villain are half-hearted and ill conceived. The fact that Keanu arrived at the bus before it dipped below 50 mph in LA traffic is laughable. The whole movie is ridiculous and the realistic fact is that the bus would have exploded so many times, reducing the bomber to a desperate and hopeless villain. The dialogue couldn’t save this movie from being a flop, ya doomed from the inception.
