What musicians would America have oppressed if Dr. Dre, Ice Cube, Eazy-E, MC Ren, and DJ Yella listened to the naysayers and followed those who said rap music, sampling, reality rap, all of it, was a waste of time and definitely illegal?

It would be nicer to savor a smaller portion of chocolate ice cream and take your time appreciating the scent of the fudge swirls or the texture of the melted ice cream. That was a long, drawn-out metaphor for what this film could have been.

I don't know why this movie has such great reviews- must be from people who don't know much about N.W.A. and use this as their main source of information. Dre and Ice Cube produced the film and it's clear that they hadn't fully resolved their issues with Eazy because they misrepresent him. The scene where Eazy downsizes his house is completely fictional- he was living in his biggest property of his life at the time of his death, as said by his son. The movie also undermines every member but Dre and Ice Cube's contributions to the group. Hard to watch as it feels like Dre and Ice Cube are spitting on a dead mans legacy. Not to mention Dre comes off in the film as much tougher than he was known to be. Just a movie making two members look good, stomping on one, and ignoring others. Highly recommend anyone interested to read what Lil Eazy-E (Eazy's son) had to say about how they misrepresented his father.

This was an interesting movie. I honestly didn't know much of the groups history and probably knew more about them from their solo work. So, this was interesting to see their back story. I thought it was a really well made movie and I enjoyed it.
