The turtles look awkward and oddly designed, resembling a mix of creatures rather than the iconic heroes, and the CGI feels overdone and unappealing. Megan Fox’s take on April O’Neill adds little, written as a weaker version of the character instead of the sharp, bold reporter fans expect. Stephen Amell is talented, but he doesn’t embody Casey Jones, missing the rough, gritty edge that makes the character work. While the voice actors bring some personality, the visuals drown it out. The screenplay feels repetitive, revisiting old ideas without adding anything fresh, and the story is filled with gaps that weaken the momentum. Earlier films, even with costumes and puppetry, felt more grounded and fun. Here, the blend of cartoon energy and live action never connects, leaving a flat, uninspired sequel. Shredder was severely nerfed compared to the first movie, and Splinter's presence was minimal, which doesn't really make sense in a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie. Despite its flaws, this movie was awesome, and every scene was so enjoyable to watch. Krang was an awesome villain, and the visuals for the Turtles, Bebop, and Rocksteady were amazing. See more Kyle C Nov 9 I liked the first one a lot better read my review from that to understand yeah this one meh at best the fights were decent I did like how they wanted to become human but changed their minds but the turtles were done dirty the personalities seemed more like a joke sort of but they tried but it wasn't done very well the shredder was done dirty too and krang was meh as well he wasn't that good of a villain but I did like the fact the turtles were revealed to the world and recognized as heroes and casey jones was pretty good and rocksteady and Bebop were cool but not cool overall I give this movie a 5.5 out of 10 it's very meh and could've done better See more Meliana G Nov 5 I enjoyed watching the first sequel of TMNT 2014, but this one, there are some parts that didn't set right but other than that.
