In this fourth chapter of the hit comedy franchise THE NAPA BOYS, Jack Jr. (Nick Corirossi), his reluctant co-captain Miles Jr. (Armen Weitzman), and the rest of the Napa Boys gang are back for one more wine-sloshed journey into the unknown. With a mission set forth by the mysterious "Sommelier," they are joined this time by Puck, a bright young podcaster and the Napa Boys' biggest fan, as the group embarks on the adventure of a lifetime. It’s the equivalent of witnessing a trio having a conversation, but two members suddenly decide to start cracking inside jokes. It can be novel for a while, but such isolation can quickly sour into resentment due to exclusion.

All these limp provocations and smarmy self-references might be forgivable if The Napa Boys was simply funny... As it stands, it’s... a sweaty parody that trips over its own feet before it can land a punch.

Perhaps some heavy wine drinking would increase the enjoyment level of this loose collection of sophomoric gags that feels like one rambling inside joke. Some moviegoers might get it; others will find it excruciating.

[T]his is an awful comedy, filled with humor so random and obscure that it almost seems a stretch to think even the cast members understand why these jokes are supposed to be funny.

If this all sounds rather asinine, it's because it is, but very much by intelligent design. But most of the hard plot points are merely springboards for Corirossi, Weitzman and their impeccable cast to wander in persistently surprising ways.

This movie had a lot of positive buzz, and it really lived up to that positive buzz/hype! One thing that did Bug me was that the mane character needed more screen timeso we knew which one was in fact the 'star' in this incredible ensemble. I can't wait to spend more hard earned dough to watch it again with my boys.
