“The Only Living Pickpocket in New York” isn’t remotely a hopeful story, but it’s a lovely reminder that the best special effect in movies is the same as it’s ever been: a truly gifted actor. Go to Full Review

I love everything about this movie, from its precision plotting to its autumnal poise -- a gentle appreciation for what’s gone, along with acceptance that colder days are coming. Go to Full Review

A compact document of two cinematic axioms—the streets of the Bronx and John Turturro and his face and figure... Rich genre storytelling with its own ticking clock. Go to Full Review

A cameo appearance by a major Hollywood player just about comes out of nowhere down the stretch but, by then, we've seen what we came for anyhow: Turturro effortlessly prancing through his hometown like he owns the joint. Go to Full Review

Andrew J 26 min ago cinema photography, story’, Great performance, you can smell new York !! and you wonder how many times you were a mark See more Sheri 47 min ago 1970s New York City. You can take the girl out of New York, but you can never take New York out of the girl! Thus being said, I truly enjoyed this movie. Mr. Turturro is such a brilliant actor. He really showed me who his character is. I felt his character. His reactions were amazing, and that is not an easy thing to do. You have to really know who your character is. I enjoyed the storyline and was surprised by some of the directorial decisions, pleasantly surprised. there were two casting choices that I wasnt in agreement with, in other words, I didnt care for. They were the grandson and grandmother. They were off to me yet the rest of the supporting cast were wonderful. I just wanna leave, Mr. Turturro this final note: I would dance with you anytime, any place! See more Gloria R 2 hrs ago well made indie film, great acting . interesting story. See more John D 2 hrs ago Excellent debut from Noah Segan. Turturro is as good as ever. Lots of great New York City porn for people that love that sort of thing See more Tanner 5 hrs ago It was a short film that claws a confined story, felt like reading an abridged book but I really liked it. Felt original and made me feel some emotion. Didn’t show violence which I liked See more Kayvan K 5 hrs ago Poor writing but great acting. Unfortunately doesn’t make up for the bad script and casting See more Read all reviews
