Madueño is a sympathetic lead, and Bang cannily uses mildness as cover for extreme anger. But they are undermined by a scatty plot that won’t be worrying Stieg Larsson or Jo Nesbø any time soon. Go to Full Review

A bit tepid until the final ten minutes, the film’s resolution feels incomplete, or rather inequitable to the broader group of victims in the story. Go to Full Review

It's a bang-up but overall disappointing finish. Go to Full Review

Without anything new to offer, this might be perfectly watchable but it's far from memorable. Go to Full Review

The film is a mixed bag for me. The build-up in the first half works out fine, but just as the revelations are made, the film goes downhill. You can sense the hurry to untie all the knots as we approach the finish line. Go to Full Review

Marco L @decatur555 Oct 22, 2026 A weak but not completely useless Nordic amnesia thriller built around a premise that should have been much more gripping: a woman without memory discovers that her previous life may have been privileged, dangerous and full of secrets. The setup has promise, and there are a few interesting moments of distrust, gaslighting and elegant family manipulation, especially when Claes Bang brings his cold, controlled presence into the story. The atmosphere is polished, muted and suspicious, with that Nordic chill that can make every room feel hostile. But the film never really catches fire. For an identity thriller, it lacks nerve, emotional intensity and a growing sense of danger. The protagonist’s confusion is understandable, but not powerful enough to pull you fully inside her anguish, and some revelations feel more like machinery than truth. It can be followed with moderate curiosity, but fades quickly. More muted than disturbing, and far less uncomfortable than its premise promised. See more Axel S @RT75418418 Oct 5, 2026 What a steaming pile… Conpletely predictable, super cliché. Wish i could get those 2 hours back.. The general tone of the movie, the flashbacks, all the "scary parts" and the ending were flat and lackluster. They cut a lot of things short, i guess because they couldn’t figure out how to make it exciting. Loose ends here and there. Very cheap and i would recommend staying as far away from it as possible.!! See more Robert F @RT35784645 Sep 25, 2026 A decent story that does just enough to keep you watching. The story develops at a reasonable pace too. Worth a watch. See more Peter F @RT28007450 Sep 20, 2026 If you're looking for an over-the-top, high-gear thriller, this is not it. If you're looking for Nordic noir with tons ob blood, this is also not it. But it's a decently crafted, well-paced, down-to-earth that keeps you excited. The base situation is very standard and the story doesn't bring anything new, but the execution is pretty good, the pictuers are nice, and the director knows how to create tension & creepy atmosphere. The biggest asset here is the cast thought, and it's really amazing how much true, quality acting can lift an otherwise unremarkable material. Strong female viewpoint throughout, and the movie is interpretable also being about abusive relationships in general.
