What to Know

Critics Consensus

An urgent warning that feels like it's arriving a little too late, Aaron Sorkin's spiritual sequel to one of his crowning achievements is a worthwhile critique of social media's omnipresence that nonetheless pales in comparison to its predecessor.

Mikey Madison, Jeremy Allen-White, and Jeremy Strong are a trio to be reckoned with, bringing impressive emotional weight to a sobering exploration of investigative tech reporting.

I’d wager the film’s purpose is not to explain, but to appeal. The Social Reckoning exists to make what we already know compelling again, reminding -- perhaps even convincing —--viewers that journalism is not only worthwhile, but critically important. Go to Full Review

I can’t help but be fascinated by 'The Social Reckoning'. Is it a good sequel? No. But I don’t even think it’s a sequel. Watch this new film without dwelling too much on the previous one, and you’ll feel freer as a viewer. [Full review in Spanish]. Go to Full Review
